BEGINNER
Comfortable riding on gravel paths unassisted (think the outlet or millennium tracks). We will explore Wānaka's trail network, building confidence whilst developing bike balance and braking skills.

INTERMEDIATE
Comfortable on single track trails with the confidence to ride the likes of deans bank, even if fitness or strength prohibits a full lap. We will be building on skills from the beginner group exploring the limits of shifting weight on the bike and translating it into cornering, climbing, descending and jumping.

ADVANCED
Comfortable on blue grade 4 single track with experience riding grade 5 black trails (think the trails coming down from the summit of sticky). We will focus more on individual goals with this group by hunting out specific trail features we can build skills to ride anything in the Clutha Basin!

How we roll!?
Getting some skids in after school is important!
We have options for all levels of experience.
We Adventure around Wānaka's beautiful trail network, building confidence whilst developing bike balance and a better understanding of the controls. Riders need to be comfortable riding on gravel paths unassisted (think the outlet or millennium tracks).
Bring along a working bike, helmet, closed toed shoes and some water. We will have a wee snack at Wānaka primary before heading out for a ride, aiming for a 6 o'clock pick up back at Wānaka primary.
Bike Squad will be running 3 separate sessions to ensure every rider is able to progress safely.
Bikers will fuel up at Kids Club before hitting the local tracks with their qualified coach.

We have a Whatsapp group for each day so you can remain up-to-date on any changes and details on the days session.
What to bring?
Each session, you'll need to bring:
- A working bike with good brakes (this can be dropped to school in the morning or throughout the day anytime)
- Safety gear (helmet, toed shoes, gloves recommended)
- Small bag to fit water & any extra snacks
- x1 inner tube (we carry repair kits too if you don't have one yet)
