Delfina
Delfina is a passionate advocate for children's well-being and the great outdoors. With her role as the Website Owner and Manager, at Wānaka Kids Club, she has dedicated herself to designing and delivering exceptional holiday programs since 2013. Her commitment to creating the best possible experience for children stems from her belief in the importance of outdoor activities and making the most of living in Wānaka and its incredible surroundings. She places a strong emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive environment where children can develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a sense of wonder. Her unwavering passion for children's outdoor experiences, along with her commitment to creating the best possible programs, has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children in Wānaka. With Delfina at the helm, Wānaka Kids Club continues to provide enriching opportunities for children to explore, learn, and thrive in the stunning natural environment of Wānaka.

Izzie
Izzie is a creative and compassionate educator with over five years of experience working with children in both classroom and outdoor environments. Izzie currently works as a Learning Support Assistant at Te Kura O Take Kārara and is passionate about supporting young people through engaging, inclusive, and adventure-based learning.
With a background in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a Master’s in Cross-Cultural Communication, Izzie brings strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a playful, empathetic approach to every role she takes on. Her experience includes teaching in UK primary schools, ski instructing/water-skiing in Canada and America, leading high ropes and adventure activities—all with a focus on building trust, confidence, and curiosity in children.
Izzie is trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and behaviour management, and also holds a TEFL qualification. Outside of work, she enjoys running, arts, reading, and catching up with friends over MANY cups of tea.

Emily
Emily is an inspiring individual known for her passion for adventure racing and the outdoors. She is highly dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, particularly among children. Her exceptional achievements and ability to lead by example make her an invaluable asset to the Holiday Programme. Emily enthusiastically embraces various outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, camping, and kayaking, immersing herself in the natural world. Her deep connection with nature enables her to inspire others to appreciate and care for the environment, fostering a love for the outdoors in both children and adults. Moreover, Emily actively advocates for children's well-being by promoting physical activity, good nutrition, and the wonders of nature through community initiatives, school programs, and sports organizations. Her tireless efforts make her a remarkable role model and a positive influence on young minds.

Kate
Kate Richards, a proud resident of Wānaka for the past decade, is a valued member of our team. Her love for Wānaka's incredible lifestyle and the thrill of skiing drew her and her family to this picturesque town. With a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and a genuine enthusiasm for exploring, Kate embodies the spirit of adventure that Wānaka is renowned for.
For the past four years, Kate has been actively involved in working with children in Wānaka, fostering their love for nature and the outdoors. Whether it's organizing outdoor activities, leading educational programs, or guiding children through exciting adventures, Kate's vibrant energy and knowledge leave a lasting impression on every child she interacts with.
When Kate is not working or studying, you can find her exploring the breath-taking landscapes of Wānaka, hiking along its picturesque trails, or hitting the slopes for an exhilarating skiing session. .

Poppy
Poppy is a highly experienced and reliable childcare provider from Sheffield, England, with over 10 years of experience caring for children across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. She holds a Master of Public Health in International Development from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Science in Geography.
Poppy has worked with children ranging from infancy to pre-teen years, providing full-time care, household support, and educational play in both live-in and live-out roles. She is First Aid and CPR certified, holds a Young Leader qualification through Girl Guides, and has six years of volunteer experience with Brownies. Additionally, Poppy is qualified in Advanced and Rescue Scuba Diving.
Known for her calm, adaptable nature and strong communication skills, Poppy creates safe, engaging environments tailored to each child’s needs. Her experience includes infant care, school routines, outdoor play, and developmental support. She brings a thoughtful, proactive approach to every child she works with—helping children grow with confidence, curiosity, and care.

Daphne
Daphne is a skilled outdoor educator and kayak guide with extensive experience leading youth and family programs in remote and coastal environments. They hold a B.A. in Law, History, and Culture with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California and are certified in Wilderness First Responder (WFR)/First Aid (CPR).
Over the years, Daphne has guided multi-day paddling trips in Alaska’s Kenai Fjords, led sea cave adventures in Channel Islands National Park, and taught marine science and navigation aboard a tall ship in Los Angeles. Their approach combines safety, storytelling, and hands-on learning to create meaningful outdoor experiences for young people of all backgrounds.
A natural extrovert, Daphne has a strong sense of group dynamics and quickly reads what individuals need to feel safe, included, and empowered—whether they’re first-time paddlers or experienced adventurers.
